How to Remove Your Hot Tub Heater Unit

This guide explains how to safely remove the heater unit from your hot tub. This may be required for maintenance, replacement, or troubleshooting.
โ ๏ธ Before You Start
- Ensure the spa is fully powered off at the mains
- Never attempt removal while the spa is filled or connected to power
- Allow the unit to cool before handling
โ Step-by-Step Instructions
- Turn off power and drain the spa
- Switch off the spa at the mains
- Fully drain all water from the spa body
- Remove the filter(s)
- Take out the filter(s) from inside the spa
- Note: Some models have 2 filters
- Remove inlet and outlet fittings
- Use the provided wrench
- Unscrew and remove the filter inlet and outlet from inside the spa
- Disconnect the wired controller
- Unscrew the controller from the spa
- Carefully disconnect it
- Thread the controller cable through the access hole in the liner
- Deflate the spa
- Fully deflate the spa to expose the heater unit
- Disconnect the air bubble (blower) connector
- Locate the connector underneath the heater
- Depending on your model:
- Unscrew the hand-tight cap OR
- Loosen the jubilee clamp and remove the blower pipe
- Remove the dual inlet pipe (if applicable)
- For spas with 2 filters:
- Locate the dual inlet pipe on the side of the heater
- Use a screwdriver to loosen the jubilee clip
- Remove the pipe
- For spas with 2 filters:
- Remove the heater unit
- Carefully pull the heater unit out from inside the liner
- Avoid forcing or bending connected parts

- Keep screws, clamps, and fittings safe for reinstallation
- Check hoses and seals for wear while the unit is removed
