Overview
This guide explains how to safely reinstall the heater unit into spa models where the heater sits within the foam wall and outer liner system. Follow these steps carefully to ensure correct reconnection and safe operation.
⚠️ Before You Start
- Ensure the spa is still powered off at the mains
- Check all components are clean, dry, and undamaged
- Make sure all seals and clamps are in good condition
- Keep all fittings ready for reconnection
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions (Reverse Process)
1. Position the heater unit
- Carefully place the heater unit back into the foam wall cavity
- Ensure it sits correctly in its original position
- Avoid twisting or forcing any pipes or cables
2. Reconnect the air blower connector
- Locate the air blower connector under the heater unit
- Reattach and secure it:
- Screw the connector back in place OR
- Refit the blower pipe and tighten the jubilee clamp
3. Reconnect the dual inlet pipe (if applicable)
- For spas with 2 filters:
- Align the dual inlet pipe on the side of the heater
- Refit the pipe
- Tighten the jubilee clip securely using a screwdriver
4. Feed the power cable and PRCD plug back through
- Carefully thread the cable and PRCD plug back through the access hole
- Ensure the cable is not pinched or under tension
5. Reconnect and secure the controller
- Pull the controller cable back through the liner access point
- Reconnect the wired controller
- Secure it back into position
6. Re-zip the outer liner
- Carefully align the outer and inner liner
- Fully zip the outer liner closed
- Ensure no cables or pipes are trapped in the seal
7. Reinstall inlet and outlet fittings
- Insert the filter inlet and outlet fittings back into the spa
- Use the wrench to tighten them securely (do not overtighten)
8. Reinsert the filter(s)
- Place filter(s) back into the spa housing
- Ensure correct seating
- Some models require two filters
9. Refill the spa
- Refill the spa with water to the correct fill line
- Check all connections for alignment during filling
10. Restore power and test
- Turn the spa back on at the mains
- Run a full system check:
- Water circulation
- Air bubble function
- Heating operation
- No leaks
🚨 Important Notes
- Never run the heater dry (without water in the spa)
- Check all clamps and seals before powering on
- If leaks occur, turn off power immediately and inspect fittings
