Overview
This guide explains how to safely remove the heater unit from spa models where the heater is accessed through the foam wall and outer liner system. This procedure may be required for servicing, replacement, or diagnostics.
⚠️ Before You Start
- Turn off the spa at the mains
- Fully drain the spa body
- Ensure all components are cool before handling
- Keep all fittings and screws safely for reassembly
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Turn off power and drain the spa
- Switch off the spa at the mains
- Completely drain all water from the spa body
2. Remove the filter(s)
- Remove filter(s) from inside the spa
- Note: Some models include two filters
3. Remove inlet and outlet fittings
- Use the wrench provided
- Unscrew and remove the filter inlet and outlet from inside the spa
4. Disconnect the wired controller
- Unscrew the controller from the spa
- Disconnect the controller cable carefully
- Thread the cable through the access hole in the liner
5. Unzip the outer liner
- Carefully unzip the outer liner from the inner liner
- This provides access to the heater unit housed within the foam wall
6. Disconnect the air blower connector
- Locate the air blower connector underneath the heater unit
- Unscrew and disconnect it to release the connection
7. Remove the dual inlet pipe (if applicable)
- For spas with 2 filters:
- Locate the dual inlet pipe on the side of the heater
- Loosen the jubilee clip using a screwdriver
- Remove the pipe carefully
8. Thread the power cable and PRCD plug
- Carefully feed the cable and PRCD plug through the access hole
- Ensure no strain is placed on the wiring during removal
9. Remove the heater unit
- Carefully pull the heater unit out from inside the foam wall
- Avoid forcing or twisting connected components
🚨 Important Notes
- Do not pull cables or pipes to remove the unit
- Check all seals, hoses, and connectors for wear before reassembly
- Store all components safely for reinstall
